NEW MINISTER FOR CLIMATE AND ENERGY – CONNIE HEDEGAARD STILL IN CHARGE OF THE UN CONFERENCE ON CLIMATE CHANGE, COP15
Lykke Friis is new minister for Climate and Energy. Connie Hedegaard is now minister for COP15 and continues as incoming COP president.
A new Danish minister for Climate and Energy has been appointed as a consequence of the Danish government's choice of candidate for a position in EU Commission.
Lykke Friis, Ph.D. and former pro-dean at Copenhagen University is now Danish Minister for Climate and Energy. Connie Hedegaard, who is Denmark's commissioner candidate, has changed title to Minister for the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference.
The new situation does not change anything about Connie Hedegaard's role during the upcom-ing UN climate change conference in Copenhagen in December. Connie Hedegaard will still be President of the conference.
